Young man drowns in Swat River in Taktaband

Rescue 1122 team recovers body after hours-long search operation, locals blame strong currents for the tragic incident

A 21-year-old man drowned in the Swat River in the Takhtaband area of Swat. The victim, identified as Zaryal Khan, son of Tariq Khan, was a resident of Kambar, Swat.

Upon receiving the alert, Rescue 1122’s water rescue team immediately arrived at the scene and launched a search operation. After several hours of effort, the team recovered the body and shifted it to Saidu Sharif Central Hospital.

Local residents reported that the young man was swept away by the river’s strong currents. Rescue 1122 has urged the public to avoid bathing in rivers and to follow safety precautions to prevent such accidents in the future.
